Windows 2000 Known Vulnerabilities and Their Fixes

It is important for the security community to keep themselves abreast of the latest security vulnerabilities and whenever possible, contribute their security findings. Everyday, new security threats are reported. It is our responsibility to keep ourselves updated of the latest vulnerabilities. Herein lies the motivation to write this paper - to provide the reader with the latest update (as of the date of this writing) on the vulnerabilities associated with Windows 2000 and the solutions available. Proper configuration of a Windows 2000 system is necessary but without applying the necessary patches, it may be impossible for administrators to stop hackers from exploiting their systems.
