ISO-17024 Accredited InfoSec Certification and Related Training

Relevant activities completed through an InfoSec related ISO-17024 accredited certification and its affiliated training providers can be used to demonstrate ongoing competency in the Information Security field related to the certification(s) being renewed. Examples of providers include, but are not limited to:

  • ISC2
  • CompTIA
  • IAPP
  • Cisco (Security-Related)
  • ISACA
  • EC-Council
  • Logical Operations

To determine if your certification (or related training) is ISO-17024 accredited, please consult the ANSI Accreditation list here.
If your certification is not listed, it is NOT accredited.

Category Guidelines:
  • You can earn a maximum of 36 CPEs for completed accredited training: 1 CPE per training hour, or 6 CPEs per full day.
  • You may earn all 36 CPEs needed to renew a certification within this category.
  • CPEs from this category can be applied to a maximum of 2 certification renewals.
  • The activity must be completed within the four-year period in which your certification is currently valid.
  • CPEs are awarded for new ISO-17024 certifications only. The renewal of an existing certification is not eligible for CPEs.
Required Supporting Documentation:

Sufficient supporting documentation must show evidence of all of the following:

  • Earner's name
  • Name of training provider or certification body
  • Name of training course or certification
  • Dates of training or total training hours, Date certification was earned

You may need to submit multiple documents to satisfy the list above. Some examples of common supporting documentation include:

  • An official copy of your certification
  • Certificate of Completion
  • Acclaim digital badge
  • Attendance confirmation
  • Training report

You must include documentation as noted above at the time of submission. All CPE submissions and supporting documentation must be in English.
