SAN Security - beyond segmentation

Storage Area Networks (SAN's) are becoming increasingly popular as a technology that allows data to be consolidated onto fewer devices and as a technology that provides high performance connectivity to storage medium. Organisations see SAN's as a mechanism to save costs and to provide greater access to data. The concentration of data onto fewer devices rather than data being distributed around a company's network means that a single security breach can have far greater consequences for an organisation.
