Peer-to-Peer File-Sharing Networks: Security Risks

The rise and evolution of the peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing networks and some of the reasons for their popularity are introduced in this paper. In addition, the security implications to users' computers, networks, and information, are also examined. And finally, the status of P2P networks in business is discussed, as well as a summary of the current state of the security risks of this technology.
