User passwords have always been a big issue for administrators and for users. For administrators, it creates a huge workload to administer passwords. Users have a hard time memorizing their password, which creates a big security problem. This paper examines biometrics as a means for making user authentication more secure based on a unique identifier, the fingerprint.
